Laminate Flooring is made of 4 parts, wear layer, decorative paper, HDF core and balance paper.

1. Wear Layer: This layer quality determines wear resistance and scratch resistance performances. Carsem floor’s wear layer is high quality, Carsem’s laminate flooring wear resistance is from AC3 to AC5.

2. Decorative Paper: This Layer is design/color of the laminate flooring, Carsem factory has thousand of design/color options to choose from including wood, tile, carpet etc. Carsem factory is working with international famous design companies such as CD, Dominic, Tecnographic, who knows the flooring industry trending exactly.

3. HDF Core Material: HDF core quality is the key of laminate flooring’s quality. All the HDF materials have very strict quality inspection when it arrives at our factory, The items tested include HDF density,swelling,the moisture content, static bending intensity, internal bonding strength, surface bonding strength, formaldehyde content, thickness tolerance etc. Many buyers only focus on HDF density, other performances of HDF is also very important. 

4. Balancing Layer: The function of the balance paper is to control the flatness of the whole board. 

 

Formaldehyde content and emission are the criteria to measure whether the floor is toxic or not.

Carsem's laminate flooring is environmental protection products, we promise that our laminate flooring is healthy, which standard is E0~E1.

When you are buying laminate flooring which is poor quality HDF core and low level impregnated papers, it is very risky that the formaldehyde content and emission is much higher and harmful for health.

Carsem produces 2 kinds of laminate flooring, one is water resistance laminate flooring, another one is waterproof laminate flooring. 

Waterproof laminate flooring does not means the materials don's absorb water, it means the materials swelling is very small, and the water entering the floor can be evaporated. This is also one advantage of waterproof laminate flooring compared with vinyl flooring.

Although our laminate flooring is environmental, it still contents formaldehyde although it is within standard from E0 to E1. 

 

We recommend underlayment when you install laminate Flooring, this is very helpful for uneven floor condition. 

Underlayment can improve laminate Flooring's ability to absorb sound. It can also make the laminate Flooring feel better to walk on and can prevent several problems from occurring.

Waterproof laminate flooring can be installed in bathroom, but not shower room.

Regular laminate flooring is not recommended as high mositure condition will cause swelling problems of laminate flooring materials.

There are several click systems of SPC Flooring. Simply speaking, one is angle-angle, another one is drop lock. 

Tools and supplies required

Spacers, Rubber, Mallet, Ruler, Pencil, Tape Measure, Utility Knife

In case of an uneven floor, place underlayment. Set spacers of equal thickness, appropriately distanced, for the required expansion gap.

It is very important that the first row is installed straightly. To realize this, installation alternates back and forth between rows one and two, for the first two rows only. Start with a small plank and position this plank close to the wall.

Now take another plank SPC Flooring, angle the short side of plank 2 on to the short side of plank 1. Make sure there are no gaps.

Take the 3rd plank SPC Flooring, angle the long side of plank 3 on to the long side of plank 1 and plank 2. 

Use the same method to install more pieces from left to right. Angle degree is 15 to 20 degree which is the best angle for installation. 

Measure the distance and cut the planks during installation.

Generally speaking, Carsem's laminate flooring use period from 10~30 years for domestic use and 5~15 years for commerical use.
